I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
